Cybersmile & Scholas Occurrentes Foundation Team up Globally

Cybersmile's Laura Lewandowski signing the partnership agreement at an event in New York.

We are joining forces with Scholas Occurrentes to tackle the global problem of cyberbullying and online abuse through awareness campaigns, educational initiatives, global research, and civic engagement.

Both foundations are announcing today our commitment to educating and supporting young people around the world, ensuring safe and productive use of the internet for future generations.

Everybody at Cybersmile is very excited to be partnering with Scholas Occurrentes. This partnership will enable Cybersmile to work with Scholas globally on research, educational programs, and initiatives in order to better understand the problem and potential solutions to cyberbullying and its associated problems.

Scott Freeman, CEO, The Cybersmile Foundation

We will work together to identify and understand growing trends, provide access to interactive educational programs, and launch innovative awareness campaigns to engage and inspire young internet users.

Our full digital civility curriculum and interactive learning platform will be launched in September and will be made available to Scholas' global network of 500,000 non-faith and faith schools across multiple regions. This will bring technological innovation into the classroom to create an engaging learning experience for young people with the opportunity for them to understand more about topics including digital civility, personal safety, online security, content authentication, emoji use, and technology-related wellbeing.

As part of the partnership, Cybersmile and Scholas will also work together to promote this year's Stop Cyberbullying Day on June 21st with a number of activities planned, which include a 24-hour event that will be live-streamed on various social platforms, influencer engagement, international school activities, and a roundtable event to bring together thought leaders from around the world.

One of the main goals of the Scholas Occurrentes Foundation is to give a voice to the problems and needs of new generations. By partnering with The Cybersmile Foundation and taking part on #STOPCYBERBULLYINGDAY, we hope to make the voices of young people heard loudly throughout the world on such an important topic like cyberbullying.
