#EggAid Campaign Is Launched To Benefit Cybersmile

Gadgette felt it was time to help out the poor egg, addressing the balance of negativity surrounding the trolls favourite avatar on Twitter while raising money for Cybersmile at the same time!

Female tech and gaming website Gadgette have launched a charity campaign to reclaim the reputation of eggs from Twitter trolls – and we think it’s awesome!

In great timing for Easter, Gadgette are calling in help and support from their friends and followers to restore the reputation of the innocent egg, and raise money for Cybersmile. The idea of restoring the reputation of the egg comes from it’s association with the bane of everybody’s life – anonymous trolls on Twitter, setting up new accounts for the sole purpose of abusing and harassing innocent Twitter users.

“Cybersmile is such a positive community of people making a real difference, you can see from their testimonials page on their website that it really helps.”

Holly Brockwell, Founder, Gadgette

There are BUNDLES of prizes for you to win including LOADS of Cakes With Faces goodies and Pat Tasting Expert has donated EPIC amounts of chocolate (including a giant 1kg Lindt bunny btw!) You can also donate to the campaign here (you’ll need a PayPal account), alternatively you can show your support for the campaign with a tweet using the hashtag #EggAid!

Be sure to check out our interview with Gadgette founder Holly Rockwell and remember, if you are affected by online abuse or harassment we have 24 hour global support available (email [email protected] for a trained advisor) or visit our online abuse help center for more cyberbullying related resources.
