We forged a partnership with BT to tackle online hate while championing the power of hope through a series of live events, educational initiatives, fundraising activities, and high-profile campaigns.
The foundation of the partnership was the development of a new online education platform. This platform served as a comprehensive resource for individuals to learn about online safety, responsible digital citizenship, and practical ways to deal with cyberbullying.
To kickstart the launch of the platform, we delivered a series of educational workshops across England, Scotland, Wales, and Northern Ireland. These workshops, specifically designed for young people, provided interactive and engaging learning experiences. The roadshow aimed to empower participants with practical tools and insights to become informed digital citizens.
Leading up to the UEFA European Championships, we celebrated Hope United, a diverse squad of players from England, Wales, Scotland, and Northern Ireland, with a collective goal to unite the nation in tackling online hate. The squad featured prominent football stars including Marcus Rashford, Gareth Bale, Lucy Bronze, Andy Robertson, Jordan Henderson, Ethan Ampadu, Rebecca Sellar, and Demi Stokes. Managed by Rio Ferdinand and Karen Carney, the squad comprised 20 players who lent their voices and experiences to advocate for a safer and more compassionate online environment.
