We formed a partnership with Mixer, Microsoft's game streaming platform, with the shared goal of tackling abuse in gaming through creative campaigns and the development of education and support resources specifically for gamers.
As part of our collaboration, we launched a joint creative campaign called "The UnAwareness Movement," which aimed to shift the focus onto the positive aspects of gaming, such as sportsmanship and teamwork, while diverting attention away from trolls and toxic players.
Throughout the duration of our partnership, we worked together to implement initiatives designed to promote the campaign and engage the Mixer community. The central element of the campaign was the opportunity for viewers on Mixer.com, the Mixer app, and Mixer on Xbox to support the movement and contribute to a fundraising drive in support of our work. This was done through the purchase of 'Embers,' Mixer's virtual currency. By acquiring Embers, users could activate exclusive UnAwareness campaign-themed skills on their favorite streamers' channels, demonstrating their support for the cause.
